RemoteCam5™ (RC5) is a camera extension solution that's ideal for use when integrating compatible Sony PTZ network cameras into a wide range of presentation spaces, auditoriums and other environments.
This 'transparent' link allows a remotely mounted PTZ network camera to send Full HD video over distances of up to 100m to a separate head end in control room or system rack. The camera can also be controlled remotely from an operator at the head end by a joystick, video switch or other similar control system. The camera can be powered remotely via PoE+.
The RC5 is suitable for use with these Sony PTZ cameras: SRG-120DH, SRG-300HW, SRG-300HC
The complete RC5 system includes separate RC5-CE Camera End and RC5-HE Head End units. The two units are connected via a single standard CAT5e or CAT6 UTP cable, removing the need for special no-skew cable and reducing deployment costs.
At the camera end, the RC5-CE provides interfaces for HDMI (video input, up to 1080/60p), regulated camera power (+12VDC) and Ethernet 10/100 ports for camera control.
Suitable for rack mounting at the head end, the RC5-HE provides interfaces for HDMI (camera video output), Ethernet 10/100, RJ45 Link Jack and 30VDC System Power Jack.
